Omaha City Hall

Omaha City Hall is the municipal office for Omaha, Nebraska, at 1819 Farnam Street. Omaha is Nebraska's largest city and county seat of Douglas County, population 486,051, the state's only city of the metropolitan class. City government occupies the City Offices Building of the Omaha-Douglas Civic Center at 1819 Farnam Street, housing the Mayor's Office, the City Council Chambers and the Finance, Human Resources and Law departments. City government moved into the building in 1966 after the original Red Castle city hall was demolished. Departments and services include fire, police, public works, parks and recreation, the Omaha Public Library system, and planning and permits. Home to four Fortune 500 companies: Berkshire Hathaway, Union Pacific, Mutual of Omaha and Kiewit. Landmarks include the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, the Old Market, Lauritzen Gardens, Charles Schwab Field, the Durham Museum and the Joslyn Art Museum. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
