Hartington City Hall is the municipal office for Hartington, Nebraska, at 107 West State Street. Hartington is the county seat of Cedar County, population 1,517. Platted 1883 as a railroad water stop; today the countywide hub for retail, industrial and professional services. City services include utilities, emergency services, a public library, an airport, parks and recreation and a transfer station open Tue-Fri 10-2 and Sat 8-12. Three Hartington properties are on the National Register: the Hartington City Hall and Auditorium (Prairie School, 1921-23), the Cedar County Courthouse (Romanesque Revival, 1890-91) and the Hartington Hotel (Colonial Revival, 1917).
