National Country Music Festival

The National Country Music Festival is Ainsworth's signature summer event, held every year at East City Park on the second weekend of August. Thousands of visitors come to Ainsworth for the festival, which has helped give the town its long-standing regional nickname as a country-music hub in the Nebraska Sandhills.

East City Park's grounds also host a National Horseshoe Contest connected to the festival weekend — Ainsworth was the site of the World Horseshoe Pitching Championships in 1986.
