Merrick County Driver License Office

The Merrick County Driver License Office is run by the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles at Courthouse, 1510 18th St, Central City. It is open every Friday, 8:15 - 12:00, 1:00 - 4:30. Drive tests are not given between 11:40 AM and 1:00 PM, or after 4:00 PM. CDL skills tests are not given here. Business handled here includes new, renewal and replacement driver's licenses, state ID cards, learner's permits, school and farm permits, and written knowledge and drive tests. Vehicle titles and registration are a separate matter, handled by the Merrick County Treasurer at 1510 18th Street, PO Box 27, telephone 308-946-2171 - not at this office.
