Garfield County Driver License Office

The Garfield County Driver License Office is run by the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles at Courthouse, 250 S 8th St, Burwell. It is open on selected Thursdays only, 9:30 - 12:30, 1:00 - 3:00 - the DMV publishes the dates for each year, so check the current list before setting out. Drive tests are not given between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM, or after 2:00 PM. CDL skills tests are not given here. Business handled here includes new, renewal and replacement driver's licenses, state ID cards, learner's permits, school and farm permits, and written knowledge and drive tests. Vehicle titles and registration are a separate matter, handled by the Garfield County Treasurer at 250 South 8 th Street, PO Box 511, telephone 308-346-4125 - not at this office.
