Buffalo County Driver License Office

The Buffalo County Driver License Office is run by the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles at 321 Central Ave, Kearney. It is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 - 4:30. Drive tests are not given between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM, or after 3:45 PM. CDL skills tests are given at this office by appointment; ring 402-471-7983 to arrange one. Business handled here includes new, renewal and replacement driver's licenses, state ID cards, learner's permits, school and farm permits, and written knowledge and drive tests. Vehicle titles and registration are a separate matter, handled by the Buffalo County Treasurer at 1512 Central Avenue, PO Box 1270, telephone 308-236-1259 - not at this office.
