Baker’s – N 155th Plaza

This N 155th Plaza store serves Omaha, Douglas County. Baker's began with Abraham Baker's first grocery at Walnut, Iowa in 1927. The company reached Nebraska with a Bellevue store in 1947 and opened its first Omaha store at 73rd and Maple in 1957, and it was for decades one of the city's own supermarket names. The Kroger Company bought the chain in 2001 and runs it through its Dillons division, so Baker's now carries Kroger's own brands and Kroger fuel points while keeping the local name. Stores have full bakery, deli, meat and produce departments, and most have a pharmacy.
