Bagel Bin at 1215 S. 119th St. was founded in 1977 by Brooklyn native Joel Brezack and his wife, Susan, as Omaha's first bagel shop, originally all kosher. After Joel's death in 2004, Susan and their sons David and Scott carried on, rebuilding after a 2010 fire. It won the Omaha World-Herald's 2024 Omaha's Choice award and The Reader's 2023 Best of the Big O.
