Beer and Loathing at 206 South Chestnut Street in Kimball has a good origin story. Heather and Nate Entingh first looked at the bar, then called the Wooden Keg, in 2012, and bought it from Ken and Nancy Heig two years later when the price came down, taking over in August 2014 along with the laundromat next door. Heather had worked behind the bar for six months before they owned it. They renamed it Beer and Loathing and marked ten years in 2024.
