Wiest Hardware at 304 State Street in Brule calls itself the small town hardware store with a little bit of everything, and stocks Valspar paint with a full special-order catalog behind it, so a village store can reach a full-line inventory. Doris Wiest has owned it since June 2010. It keeps old-fashioned split hours, closing over the middle of the day: weekdays 7:30 to noon and 1 to 5:30, Saturday 7:30 to noon and 1 to 4.
