Ace Hardware – Gothenburg

Ace Hardware Gothenburg at 404 9th Street opened in 2024 and exists because the town went out and got it. The Gothenburg Improvement Company voted to recruit a hardware store into the former Peterson Supermarket building, empty since late 2021, and the Franssen family of Broken Bow spent about six months converting the 20,000 square foot space, new flooring and drywall and a walk-in cooler taken out. It is their second Ace store. Departments cover electrical, tools, sporting goods, housewares, automotive, lawn and garden, plumbing, hardware, patio and outdoor living, cleaning supplies and paint, plus grills and coolers. Open 7:30 to 7 weekdays, eight to six Saturday, ten to five Sunday. Phone 308-537-9029.
