Sly’s Family Bar and Grill – Neligh

Sly's Family Bar and Grill sits at 408 Main Street in downtown Neligh, next door to the old pharmacy building. The kitchen is more ambitious than the frontage suggests: hand-cut ribeyes and prime rib, burgers, hand-breaded hand-cut onion rings made on the premises, and alligator, which is not a thing you expect to find on a menu in Antelope County. It is about two tenths of a mile from the Cowboy Trail, which makes it the obvious lunch or supper stop for anyone riding the trail through Neligh, and it is on Highway 275 for drivers. Neligh is the Antelope County seat, and the Neligh Mill State Historic Site, an 1873 water-powered flour mill with its machinery intact, is a short walk away if you are making an afternoon of it.
