Swingin’ Doors

A saloon on South 1st Street in Rulo, and by its own account one of the oldest working bars in Nebraska — possibly the oldest. Rulo sits on the Missouri River in the far southeast corner of the state, where Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri meet, and the bar is a known destination for motorcycle groups running the river road: lunch runs from as far as Omaha and St Joseph put it on the calendar. The property includes camper hookups on the upper lot. Worth the drive for the room itself as much as the food.
