Bears Cave Cafe

A bar and cafe on Wyoming Street in Culbertson, on Highways 6 and 34 in the Republican River valley. It works both sides of the name — a cafe by day for a plate of food, a bar in the evening — which in a Hitchcock County village of a few hundred makes it the town’s main room. Culbertson sits between McCook and Trenton with Swanson Reservoir a short run west, so it takes hunting and fishing traffic on top of the local trade.
