Bested Knuckle Saloon

A saloon on Main Street in Eddyville, a Dawson County village of well under a hundred people in the Wood River country north of Lexington. In a place this small the saloon is the village — the only public room, and the reason people from the surrounding farms have anywhere to meet. Sumner and Sargent are the nearest villages; the Sandhills begin just north.
