The Sand Bar – Pleasanton

The bar on East Elm Street in Pleasanton, a Buffalo County village on Highway 10 north of Kearney in the South Loup country. Pleasanton has a few hundred people and this is its room — the meeting place as much as the bar. It sits on the road between Kearney and Ravenna, and the sandhill country north of it fills with crane traffic in March, when the Platte roost is twenty minutes south.
