Outdoor recreation area near Chapman, NE (Merrick County), located 3 miles south of town between the Platte and Wood Rivers. Managed by the nonprofit Platte PEER Group. Features 36 RV sites, 15 tent sites, 7 fishing lakes (largemouth bass, channel catfish, crappie, bluegill), 6 miles of hiking trails, and a sandy swimming beach open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Also offers shaded picnic areas with grills, playgrounds, volleyball nets, showers, restrooms, and a dump station. Birding and wildlife viewing are popular year-round. Host site for the annual CNARC Steak Fry & Hamfest each July, organized by the Central Nebraska Amateur Radio Club. Open year-round, 7am to dusk.
