Blue Rivers Transportation System (Beatrice)

Beatrice is the base of Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging, the body that operates this transit system across eight south-eastern counties. Federal transit records list the operation as demand response with 21 revenue vehicles, carrying rather more than sixteen thousand passenger trips in a reporting year. There is no timetable to read and no route map to consult; a rider telephones, gives a pickup address and a destination, and a vehicle is scheduled. Gage County residents use it for appointments, errands and social trips alike.
