Dawson County Fairgrounds is the county fairground for Dawson County, at 1000 Plum Creek Pkwy in Lexington. Like most Nebraska fairgrounds it is owned by the county agricultural society and is in use well beyond fair week — rodeos, horse shows, tractor pulls, sales and community events. The 4-H side of the county fair is run by Nebraska Extension in Dawson County, which handles entries, livestock identification and the certification a young person needs before showing an animal.
