The Cedar County Fair is held at 88266 564 Avenue in Hartington and, in its own words, always runs the third week of July, Wednesday to Sunday. It runs its own branded music festival, Cedarstock, with nationally touring country headliners, which is a bigger music operation than most Nebraska county fairs attempt. Alongside it come the Cedar County Pro Rodeo, barrel racing and a rodeo queen competition, a horse fun night, a talent show, a carnival midway, agricultural and 4-H exhibits, cornhole and volleyball tournaments and camping on site. The seeds of the fair were planted over a hundred years ago at St. Helena, before it moved to Hartington. Phone 402-254-3521.
