The Cass County Fair is held at 8420 144th Street in Weeping Water, not at the county seat of Plattsmouth, over five days in early August. There is no admission charge to get onto the grounds at all, and the fair board makes a point of it; the fair draws 30,000 to 35,000 people across the five days with the carnival running four of them. The program runs from extreme bull riding, an Outlaw truck and tractor pull, figure-eight races, mutton busting and barrel racing through to a foam zone, mini golf, an agricultural education area, bingo and wine tasting, live bands, a parade, pedal pulls, a watermelon feed and pony rides.
