Orchard’s Annual Community Homecoming
Orchard Free Days is a four-day community celebration in Orchard, Nebraska (Antelope County) — a homecoming-style event organized by the Orchard Community Club. Held every late July, it brings together current and former residents for a packed weekend of parades, street dances, duck races, a fun run, wing feed, alumni banquet, pancake feed, inflatables, bingo, and a free beef BBQ. Funded in part by the Antelope County Visitor’s Bureau.

Thursday
Dive-in movie at the Orchard Swimming Pool (free, begins at dusk) · Sponsored by Orchard Public Library and Village of Orchard
Friday
Orchard Historical Society chicken dinner (11 a.m.–1 p.m., The Rex) · District 57 school house tours (11 a.m.–7 p.m.) · Free swimming 1–5 p.m. · Duck race at the pool (5 p.m.) · Road rally 5–7 p.m. · Cruise night with KBRX · Free kids’ dance 7–9 p.m. · Street dance 8 p.m.–midnight (beer garden)
Saturday
Fun run (registration 7:30 a.m.) · Car wash · Kids’ games · Pingpong drop · Pool party 1–5 p.m. · Poker run · Cornhole tournament · Wing feed 5–7 p.m. (Orchard Volunteer Fire Dept.) · Alumni Banquet (social 5:30, dinner 6:30, community center) · Street dance 9 p.m.–1 a.m.
Sunday
Pancake feed 8 a.m.–noon · Community church service 10 a.m. at Orchard City Park · Grand Parade at 3 p.m. (registration 1–2:30 p.m., contact Shayna Strope 402-340-4513) · Inflatables 4–7 p.m. · Face painting · Bingo 4–7 p.m. · Root beer floats and brownie sundaes · Free beef BBQ 5–7 p.m.
