Gus’s Bar

A bar on Box Butte Avenue in Hemingford, the Box Butte County village north of Alliance on Highway 2 and the Burlington line. Hemingford has under a thousand people and two bars on the same street, this being one. It sits on the edge of the Sandhills with Box Butte Reservoir a short run northeast, so it takes fishing and hunting trade on top of the local farm and ranch business.
