Banner County does not hold a fair of its own. Its 4-H exhibitors show at the joint Kimball-Banner County Fair, held at the Kimball County Fairgrounds, 415 South High School Street in Kimball, in the first full week of August. Nebraska Extension runs the two counties as a single Kimball-Banner unit. The fair carries horse, pig, sheep, goat and beef shows, a PRCA rodeo performance, mutton busting, wild horse races, a gymkhana, a cornhole tournament, movie night, a livestock auction and a concert and dance. Admission has run at fifteen dollars, free for children twelve and under.
