The Pilger Store is the fuel and convenience stop at Pilger, a Stanton County village on Highway 275 between Wisner and Stanton. Pilger was struck by twin tornadoes in June 2014 and rebuilt; a store like this one is part of what keeps a village of a few hundred functioning, selling fuel, coffee, cold drinks, snacks and basic groceries.
