The Old Freighters Museum, operated by the Nebraska City Museum Association, occupies the home office of the Russell, Majors & Waddell Freighting Company, once the largest freight operation on the Great Plains. Exhibits cover the shipping industry's role in westward expansion along the Oregon, California, and Mormon Trails, including artifacts connected to the company's wagon trains.
