Nestled in the foothills of the picturesque area where pine-covered hills,badlands and prairie converge in northwest Nebraska. Our Heritage Guest Ranch provides unique recreational experiences. The family ranch wasestablished in 1887. A descendant of the original homesteaders, Jean Norman, operates with her husband, Rick Sample. When they can, Jean’s children and
grandchildren help. The ranch is located next to Toadstool Park near Crawford,Nebraska. It is surrounded by the Oglala National Grasslands, which enhance the beauty of the open spaces and unique geological formations and is considered a National Natural Landmark.
*You are invited to accompany us while we carry out our daily ranch tasks, such as fixing fences, haying, and calving. You can also take advantage of the many activities offered:
