Dodge is a village in Dodge County established in 1886 when the Fremont, Elkhorn and Missouri Valley Railroad extended to the site, named for early settler George A. Dodge, and incorporated in 1887.

The 2020 census recorded 611 residents. The village is fairly dense for a rural Nebraska community, with roughly 1,547 people per square mile, and its population skews older, with more than a third of residents age 65 or above as of the 2010 census.
